Meet @CHS

At CHS we have a heart to welcome everyone and make sure all feel connected and supported. We recognise that we are all a ‘work-in-progress’ and hope you will find CHS a place to be loved and accepted. There are many opportunities for fellowship, to study the bible, pray, worship or enjoy a specialist course. Most of our meetings involve feasting together in some form – usually with great coffee and treats! Please explore how you would best like to meet and let us know. If you would like to join any of these groups, please contact Judy van Zyl at the CHS office on 021 701 3201 or info@chscapetown.org

Life Groups

Life Groups are a laid-back way to make friends, learn from each other and share God-at-work in our lives. Groups of 8-12 people run from homes scattered all over Cape Town. Timing is worked out by each group (usually on Wednesdays) and includes yummy food.

Newcomers’ Welcome

We host coffee after church and evening gatherings for new members or those interested in knowing more about CHS.  Please join us to meet new friends and ask any questions.

HUDL (How U Develop Leaders) Groups

HUDL groups are for CHS leaders to be encouraged and accountable as they follow God’s call on their lives, as well as to grow and find support for the challenges they face as leaders.

Praying together

We value prayer as an essential foundation to our faith, continually seeking God’s perfect will, and to impact and heal a hurting world. Time alone with God is just as valued as our group prayer and worship sessions. We pray into every church meeting, and the lives of those in our community and beyond. Prayer meetings are also a place to celebrate and share personal testimonies.

During COVID-19 we are praying together online every Monday @7.30 pm and would love you to join this prayer army!

Prayer opportunities are plentiful and examples include:

– Daily prayers with our staff team every weekday @8:30 am
– Weekly prayers for the CHS Life Centre on Mondays @8.30 am
– Monthly community prayers every first Wednesday @7.30 pm
– 24/7 prayer response together with many churches.

To join our call to prayer, contact Paul Rademeyer on info@chscapetown.org

Bible Study

Bible study stirs up a passion for God’s word as we learn about his character, promises and faithfulness. Everyone is encouraged to bring insights and ask questions to deepen our understanding of the word and how to apply it to our world and daily life.

Please join our Women’s Bible Study on Wednesdays  @10 am (run by Michelle Owen and Claire Stevenson) or Explore Bible study for all on Wednesday evenings @7 pm (run by Gil Marsden) or be encouraged to start a new group!

Contact Judy van Zyl at the CHS office for info on 021 701 3201 or email on info@chscapetown.org.

During COVID-19 we are studying the Bible together online on Wednesdays from 10.30-12pm and would love you to join us!
